Post-OP Weight loss question
I am 3 weeks out on Monday. I was on clear liquids the 1st week then I have been on Full Liquids and puree. I have lost a total of 12 lbs after my surgery. I have one more week of Full Liquids and puree then I start soft for 5 weeks. I know that all plans are different but hope this help you a little.

To answer the OP's question, I lost 12-15 pounds by week 2. I'm 6 weeks out now and have lost 34 pounds.
Good luck to you!
Wow. I too had my surgery at Duke, but I really don't remember. Seems to me it was like 11 at 3 week, 26 at 3 month and now I'm at 5 months and down 50. But don't quote me. I think its been very slow compared to others, but I feel better than I have in years and totally loving every minute of this journey!!!! Good Luck!
I haven't had my surgery but it is scheduled for July 6th dependent on my ins. co. I was just wondering who your surgeon was. Mine is to be Torquati. Also, according to the information packet I was given there are a couple of things that haven't been done at my appointments that the info says will be done. For instance, at my first appt. with dr. they didn't do any type of physical exam. Just asked questions and let me ask questions. I have not had any type of exam from anyone at DWL just talk sessions. Is this the norm? Also, they haven't taken my picture which I don't really care about but the info says they were supposed to do this at my first appt. It concerns me they are maybe not being thorough. Of course, I see my primary care doc once a month for other issues so I am getting medical care but DWL doesn't necessarily know this.
Thanks for anything you are willing to share.
