What I have been working on

Needless to say many of you have heard about the troubles I have had with first loosing my beloved Birdy and then loosing sweet Precious.
I have been dealing with a large amount of loss in the past year.
On Monday this week a lady called who had an african grey for sale was looking for a good home for the bird.
I first heard about her through an very good avian vet.
As fate would have it she lost my number but then found it again.
Yesterday afternoon we are proud owners of a 6 month old Grey who was hatched on Christmas day.
I have choosen the name Noel for her.
I could not allow just pay the money get the bird thing again I put my foot down and said I needed all health reports the price I am paying and a detailed description of what the seller would do if something were to happen to Noel and sign and date it before giving her any money.
I stood my ground and felt very good about it.
Another intresting thing happend yesterday I took my mom to get her hair done and I got mine done too.
The girls at the salon had not seen me in many months.
One of the girls there totally freaked out about how different I looked.
I LOVED to see her jaw drop and her reaction it was pricless.

Glad you were able to get the assurances you needed this time. I pray she'll bring you many joys for a long time!

Getting your hair done with your mom sounds like a great outing. Keep enjoying the attention. You so deserve the accolades!

Noel seems to be making herself right at home.
Lee said she should like it here because he knows I love feeding my babies.
My bulldogs love it when I eat because they know they will always get my leftovers.

Congrats on the new birdie. African Greys are always so beautiful. My uncle has one named Baby and boy does that fit. She is spoiled rotten. I'm glad you got another one that will hopefully help you fill the void from the others.
Also, WOW on the jaw dropping lol. I can't wait until that happens to me. I'm glad you are doing so well.

I know you miss your Birdy and Precious very much but I am glad you can still make room for Noel. Since she is a little older I am willing to bet she is a lot sturdier than precious was and will do very well under your care. It won't be long before she starts to wreck total havoc at the Adam's household LOL!
