Almost two years out and.....

Things still get stuck GRRRRR
I think and hope I have found the solution for me and that is hot tea and Truvia!!!
First I tried to throw up did not help.

About three months ago I had a stuck episode and drinking hot tea worked like a charm.
Tried it again and it worked.

WE had hamberger steaks .and some squash and onions and a few pieces of potatoes.
I always use a salad plate for my dinner plate and sometimes can finish my dinner but most times never do.
I always listen to the pouch when it says no more I stop or when something gets stuck.
Three months ago I had some breakfast steaks NEVER AGAIN the strange thing is I get eat jerky nuggets no problem and I love jerky nuggets.

Great you have found a solution to the 'stuck' problem.

I have not had anything get stuck. I have food that sits at the very top of my pouch and refuse to move.   That is usually a result of me eating too fast and not chewing it enough.

Continue to live and learn and obey the pouch! Mine rules!

Love ya!

Hi Annie,

I'm sorry to hear that you are getting things 'stuck'. I'll bet that you have a two year follow up appointment coming up with Dr. Farrel. I'd let him know about this, because I don't think that it's 'normal' when you are this far out... My concern is that you might have a stricture.

Hi Barb,
I have concidared it maybe a strickture but  most things do well.
I sorta am okay it this is what it is just because it reminds me why I had this surgery it keeps me in check but I will mention it to Dr. Farrel in August.

Hi Annie,

I'm glad that you are doing fairly well with the restriction and that you are reasonably able to function with it. My only real concern is that strictures generally occur as scar tissue builds and sometimes, they continue to 'develop.' I'm glad to hear that you are on top of it and hope that Dr. Farrel has some answers for you when you ask him to check on it in August.

Can you believe that it's nearly been 2 years? WOW!

Wishing you all the best,

Barbara
