18 Months ago Today

Were has the months gone. It seemed like eternity when you are waiting for your WLS and now you wonder were time has gone. It has been a wonderful jounery that I would do all over again. Yes, in the last several months I experianced a bleeding ulcer but it's under control. I have been at my current weight for the last 6 months and now that I'm going out of the honeymoon period, I will be in a new journey that will test my eating and exerices habits that I will continue for the rest of my life.
Just wanted to thank everyone that has supported and gave Great advise during my journey, OH rocks!

Hey Lisa, Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I was surprise when I developed the Bleeding  Ulcer, Dr. K was upset  that I didn't get to him earlier. It wasn't til I passed out one morning in the kitchen. Got up and said to myself, "This isn't right". I had to have a Colonscopy and Endoscopy done. He said it's like 1 in 5,000 will develop one after RNY. Well, I talked to Jennifer H. and her sister developed one also. Now it's 2 in 5,000. Go figure.
Are you still going to the support meetings at CMC-Mercy.  I'm planning on going this month.

Good grief!  You made me realize in another months I will have 2 years under my belt!  Where HAS the time gone???  Like you, I would do it all again, as long as the complications weren't any worse...  lol.  Sure wish I had been as successful as you in my weight loss, however...

Shazanne, Isn't it amazing how time fly's by. 2 years, you have done a fantastic job also. I think all  our body's react the way that's best for us. Not everyone is the same to the surgery. It does what best for our makeup. (Chemisty). You are a success in your own way. Think back 2 years ago were you started.
George and I will be on Vacation in Sept. Hope to get together with Mare and you. Maybe get a group together.
