This weekend I found that I was doing a lot more TO myself than I was doing FOR myself. Today is a new day and I look forward to doing some things FOR me today...

What are you doing FOR yourself today?

I too did a lot TO myself this weekend too!

My husband and I had a full weekend of plans together and separately so I did not do my best at planning our meals SOOO we ate out more than usual. We typically have a meal outside of home about 1-2 month.

This weekend all these meals were consumed away from home:
Friday dinner
Saturday breakfast
Saturday  lunch
Sunday breakfast

This was a lot for us and all in the same weekend and so early in the month! Even though I made some healthy choices, it is still a large amount of highly processed food. So today, back to our routine of planning all our meals and eating at home.

If I am gonna eat   like a fat girl, then I gotta workout   like a skinny girl!

Hey Valerie,

It sounds like you have a plan and are working it. I wouldn't beat yourself up too much re: your meals out because you really have been working to make good choices, even when out and about.

Wishing you continued success,

This morning I took Arthur and Guien for a walk.
I have been a bad mommy with walking them.
I found myself not making sure I got up early to avoid our neighbor who would like me to walk my dogs before 8:30
I even got to practice some things I have learned on The Dog Whisperer OMG that Cesar is spot on it worked.
Yesterday I figured out how to use the new napster and upload music to my MP3 I found music I have not heard in years.
So I plan on doing week 6 day 1 and am very excited to have any new songs to listen do.

I couldn't help but laugh a little when I read this. Me & my hubby watch the Dog Whisperer and amazingly enough, my husband can make that "tskk" noise and do that stuff and my dog prances right along side him like a perfect angel. She looks like an absolute show dog, now for me she walks like a wild dog searching for every scent in the wild. Guess I need to be a little more agressive.

Anyways, I've been getting behind lately on doing FOR myself. I think i've just been discouraged with some of the things going on in my life. I've been neglecting the gym, neglecting my diet, just NEGLECTFUL.

Starting tomorrow, I will be back at the gym, back on the yogurt and the water and back to helping myself.

I'm doing this FOR myself. For me to be a better and healthier person.
Keep in your thoughts and prayers everyone!

Jordan,
You need to learn to make that tsk sound like the dog whisperer it WORKS for Arthur LOL I could not belive it.
Arthur is a 70lb english bulldog and thinks he is a great deer hunter.
As far as taking care of yourself ONLY YOU CAN DO IT go back to the gym and do what you need to do.
I have earned the right to talk the talk because I have walked the walk of of a SMO person and never ever want to go back.

Wow, your post is RIGHT ON today Barb...  What I've been doing TO myself is unraveling all my hard work over the past 18 months.....

I'm reclaiming my TOOL today!  I will eat more protein and less carbs starting right now.  My scales were up 4 pounds this morning and I almost cried... I've done it TO myself.  It's nobody's fault but my own.

Thanks for the motivating post!  Alice
