xpost- I am in Onderland
Congrats on being under 200 lbs. I know how good that must make you feel. I have my date for RNY scheduled for July 7th and am so excited...I can't wait. I am sure I will also be on the scales several times throughout the day. I also am in Charlotte. I have lived here all my life. Maybe since you have been through it already you will have some pointers for me.Are there things you wish you would known, things you wished you would have taken to the hospital with you and didn't, best protein drinks, etc. Any tips or pointers will be much appreciated.
Take care,
Karen

Karen,
Your day is just around the corner. I am in Concord area, real close to Concord Mills, are you in South Charlotte? I had to do a 6 mo weight management program for my insurance so I learned a lot during that time, I am was so happy to have that time to read all I could. One thing I would make sure if you haven't done is ask your Surgeon tons of questions, I would always go into all my appointments with my note pad and lots of questions. My Surgeon is so wonderful he always took all the time to answer all my questions. For stuff for the hospital I took a robe that I never put on it would have been a pain with the IV, I just used another gown for the back when I did my walking.
Protein powders I use EAS that I get at Cost****hoc flavor) I liked it pre-op and I like it post op although right now I am mixing it with water rather than milk. I do have lots of samples I ordered the other thing I use is unflavored protein you can add it to everything to help you get in your protein.
I would be glad to give you some samples of the proteins I have if you want to try them we can arrange to meet somewhere just let me know.
Sandy
