Shauna's visit

It was great to finally meet Shauna and Allen her husband.
I posted some  pictures from this morning on my profile.        ..

Hi Annie,

Thanks for posting the photos. It was really great to finally get a hug from Shauna and meet her sweetheart Allen. Shauna looked like a million bucks, you'd never know she had just had open surgery to correct a hernia and then traveled 3.5 hours, went to a game and slept in an unfamiliar bed. I hope that she got some rest between being sure that Ely got to go swimming, Cole got to get a tour of old Raleigh and the ride home. I can't imagine what she'll be doing tomorrow!

I want you, Shauna and Valerie to know how much I truly appreciate your friendship and support during what you all know have been very trying times for me.

I felt such friendships and kinships with you before we met in person and yesterday just cemented that.  :)  I am so thankful for each of you...for your friendships, your support, your love.  Never had any idea at the start of this journey that I would gain such dear friendships that enhance the health and happiness that the weightloss has brought! 

Annie,  Allen and I think you and Lee are both such beautiful people.  :)  It was truly an honor to get to meet you both in person and get to know you better that way!

Barbara,  You know I've longed to meet you in person for so long...we have been kindred spirits from the start!  :)  Thank you so much for taking the time during these difficult times you've been having to get together. 

Valerie,  Your upbeat, sweet spirit just shines through your gorgeous smile of yours.  :)  I'm truly lucky to count you as one of my friends! 

After leaving breakfast, I took a dose of the good stuff and laid down for about an hour to catch up on some rest while daddy took Eli down to the pool to swim.  We did also take a quick driving tour of downtown Raleigh for Cody before making a beeline for home, where I've been in bed ever since!  haha 

(By the way, Annie, I "stole" the photos from your profile by right-clicking on them and saving them to my computer.  :)  Thank you for remembering to bring a camera!  I was in tears when I looked at the photos because I STILL hadn't taken any of myself recently and the changes in myself finally hit.  It's the first time that I can ever remember that I've looked at photos and not cringed in horror at the sight of myself.  What a touching difference that is!)

PS -- I have read through other posts and am thinking of everyone but this liquid Lortab is really compromising my mental faculties!  If I don't post much more for awhile, you'll know why!  :)  {{{Big Hugs}}} to all!

I had such a good time with you all Sat Morning!

Shauna is just as beautiful in person as she is on OH! And like Barb said, looking at her Sat you would have had no idea she had just had open surgery and traveled such a distance! She was as bright eyed and chipper!

It was great seeing all of you and especially in the smaller setting!

We shared some laughs, tears, struggles, and plenty of hugs!

Rest up Shauna! We look forward to hearing about your progress!

Barb and Annie keep hanging on! We are here foe each other and we can make it one day at a time!
