Blueberries

My bushes are loaded but not ready to pick.  I'm thinkin maybe by june 20th, if not the 27th. When they are ready you are welcome to come and pick. I'll keep you posted. If they are ready by the 20th maybe whoever is intrested could follow me home after the meetup. If its the following week I"ll do a lunch for us too. Val-let me know you read this, I know you'll be here!!!!
Eggface has an awesome recipe for blueberry protein bars, blueberry protein ice cream, etc. I made blueberry cobbler with Splenda with my frozen berries from last year and it was great! I'm still trying to use up my berries from last year and I don't want them all in my freezer again-I want to share!

The minute I saw the word 'blueberries' I knew it was you!

Sounds like I'll be in blueberry heaven by the end of the month!

You are right. I'll not only be there, I'll be there with bells on (just don't ask where they will be hanging from)!

Where would I find these recipes?  I live too far away to pick, but one of my students brought me a huge container of them!

FYI-most recipes allow you to use fresh or frozen. If you can't use your whole container within the next few days , I suggest you freeze them. Do not wash them before freezing- they will get "tough". Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spread out berries on the sheet. Freeze, then store in a freezer zip lock bag. This way you can use a few or as many as you need and they are not stuck together. Hope this helps.
