Update on Shauna's surgery and breakfast plans

Hi All,

I just got off the phone with Shauna's husband Allen. He said that she came throught he surgery fine, but that the surgery was done as an open procedure instead of laparoscopic, so she's uncomfortably resting at home now.

There has been a change in the tournement schedule due to weather, which is probably a good thing for Shauna because everything is set back one day.

Because of the scheduling change for the tournament, Allen and Shauna have asked that the breakfast get together be moved to Sunday morning... Same time and location. I'll update the information on www.meetup.com/nc-wls I hope that you'll still be able to make it out to see Shauna.

Glad to hear Shauna is home even though the surgery was a bit more extensive than she expected.

What timing! I had just logged into Meet-up and noticed the breakfast on Sunday and thought wasn't that supposed to be Saturday and how did I miss that when I RSVP'd? Now I see that I have not lost my mind.

Fortunately our church is only minutes away from Perkins so I can still say yes, but I will not be able to stay the entire time. We usually arrive at church about 8:15am to serve in our respective ministries. Soooo...

I'll either show up with my hubby at 8am and we'll have enough time for some introductions and hugs and we'll leave at 8:15am (sorry no breakfast)...

or I'll be there alone by 8am and I'll stay until 8:30am (probably only time for them to serve me some coffee). Michael has to be ready to drive one of the church buses by 8:20am whereas I need to be at my Sunday School class by 8:45am, so I have a few more minutes to play with than he does.

My second option will require Michael and I to drive separate cars and I think he loves having me chauffeur him on Sunday (I drive the car since he drives the church bus) so I anticipate the first option will be it.

Either way, we'll get some hugs in Sunday morning.

I know that Shauna will be delighted to see you and as always, so will I.

We'll see you soon.
