OT: Surgery Time & Raleigh Schedule

I got the call this afternoon saying to be at Frye hospital at 5:45am on Thursday.  It's a solid hour drive for us so that's going to be one EARLY morning!  Just so thankful it is early like I was hoping so I'll have more time to recover before leaving the next day.

As long as my surgery goes well, and I feel I am up to making the trip, we are going to meet the tour bus @ 7:30/8:00am Friday morning to drop Cait and follow it to Raleigh.  Since they'll have a potty on board, hopefully we'll be able to stay with it stopping only for lunch! 

The schedule is really tight for the tournament on both Friday (5 & 7:30) and Saturday (11, 1:30, 4)...both a late night and an early morning, then the long drive home.  I wrote Barbara last night telling her I have no clue how to try to plan on getting together.  :(  It would be easy if I knew our girls would be out of the tourney early on Saturday, but let's hope that doesn't happen.  I would ask to just meet at the ball field if you'd like, but it's $10/person tickets and $3 parking so I cannot ask anyone to do that! 

If you would like to know where we are staying and would like my cell number to try to get together on an impromptu basis, that's all I can think of right now.

Do not even begin to envy the to-do list I've got going on here!  lol  Just wish us lots of LUCK that we make it through this week victorious on all counts!  :)

Annie just PM'd to ask if we could meet her and Lee for breakfast early on Saturday morning.  Can anyone else meetup at around 8 or 9 a.m. that day?  Our hotel is near the Denny's at 3215 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC‎.  :)

I will be praying that everything goes wonderful for your surgery and for the tournament. Take Good Care of yourself and I hope everything is great.

Fionna,  Thank you for your prayers and your good luck vibes!  :)  Super happy to hear you will be able to meet us for breakfast.  I can hardly wait to give you a hug!  I'll PM you my cell numbers.  Sounds like Barbara is going to do just like you said and rally the troops.  :)  I can hardly wait! 

WHAT SURGERY ARE YOU HAVING THAT DAY?

Dr. Cook is performing an outpatient laparoscopic umbilical hernia repair for me.  I had suspected it before my RNY and as I lost the weight, sure enough it became more prominent.  It's strange being "umbilical" because it's actually between my belly button and breast on the right side.  The bulge is the size of a large grapefruit/small cantaloupe, so I'll be really glad when it is fixed!  I'm also really glad that Dr. Cook is the one performing this procedure for me.  :)

There is a Denny's nearby. I haven't used them before, but it's very close to you and this is more about seeing friends than the food anyway. 

I think that Ben is going to be helping friends move this weekend, but I would be able to come. 

Let me know if this is where you'd like to hold it and I'll create a meetup for it for whomever would like to go.

Barb,  I am so happy to hear that you will be able to come! 

After I posted about the Denny's, I did another Google map search and there is actually a Perkins just 2 miles/4 minutes up the road (2657 Appliance Ct).  Allen said he would love to try that so either Denny's or Perkins would be just fine. 

As for a time, I am thinking 8am or 9am.  Allen can even run Cait to the field real quick and come back to get us if we aren't quite finished.  :)
