Bad day!!!

I just have not been able to tolerate ANYTHING food wise today.  I could hardly choke down a protein shake today.  Anything thicker than water made me miserable.  I felt like whatever it was was stuck and wouldn't go down.  Yesterday I was fine and ate/drank my 75 grams of protein.  This morning, I tried to eat an egg (soft scrambled) and one bite and I was done.  30 minutes later, I tried a protein shake, two sips and I was done!

I am 4 weeks out (RNY) tomorrow and see the surgeon on Tuesday for my 1 month follow up.  ANyone else have days like this?

One positive is that the scale did move again!  Lost 3 more pounds!

Thanks!!!!!

Eggs can be really problematic. Give it another week or 10 days and give 'em a try again. It can be frustrating, but it's not unusual to have the type of experience that you've described. It sometimes feels like one step forward and 2 back, but just stay with it.

Congratulations on your continued success,

Hey Michelle,

I am glad you are going to see Dr. Edwards Tuesday for your follow up.

I think we all have bad days occasionally for whatever reason. I was just thinking about you when I was walking around the lake earlier. When I am on my period I have a hard time tolerating foods so it could be that way for the RNY too.

I see your sister occasionally but is your dad still alive?? Is he still married to Debbie?? See I haven't seen you that much in the last couple of years.

I cant believe how good you are doing with your weight loss. You are going to be at 100 pounds lost before you know it!!!!!!!!!!!

Tamara,

Yeah Dad's still going strong, and he's still with Debby!  I was walking the lake today to.  It was a gorgeous day and the breeze was incredible!

I had been discouraged about the scale not moving for 3 weeks, but my measurements had been going down.  It's as much a mental battle as it is physical!

Michelle

Michelle,  I still have my moments, like this week.  I only took a few bites of food yesterday before my body would just say NO MORE!  Finally ended up with soup last night and I bought some ready-made shakes for today until it passes.  It always does.  :)

Congrats on the scale moving again!  I've heard the faster you lose, the more likely you are to go through stalls.  I'm in 100% agreement on it being as much a mental test as it is anything else!

You're doing awesome...so happy for you!  :)
