Ok when I got home the meat had been cooked and Lee was very proud of himself.
At the moment Lee and Matt are slicing it up using Matt's slicer.
They were all so intrested to see how I would do with it.
I am happy to report so far so good and I am not eatting more than just a small amount why tempt fate.
Of course with 9lbs of meat he will be freezing most of it.

Today at work I was demoing Turkey burgers they are on sale at Food Lion for two packs for $5.00
I did try some and wow they are great.!!
I cooked them with olive oil and seasoned them with garlic and herb and also seasoned some with a chicken grill seasoning Food Lion brand.
People liked them so much I sold 2 cases.
As far as the baby parrot assuming she is female she is doing great.
We feed her every two hours and after feeding she sleeps.
Last night she slept through the night until I got up at 5 to feed her.

Annie,
Glad to know the meat went well for you today.  I am curious to know how well i will be able to tolerate different meats after Lap Band in July.  Everyone is different.  I do love the flavor of my husband's steaks............sure hope i don't have to give them up.  Just a bite or to will do me!

Hi Dee,
Im am not to sure about the band and eatting steak.
But from the RNY view point and me personally so many foods are trial and error.
Also sometime what works today might not work in a week from now.
I have had epeisodes of food getting stuck I will be the first to tell you  i can make you avoid that food for many months.
Basically I have a fear from past experince in eatting steak.
Good luck to you with you surgery and new life.

I am totally loving my girl.
We are weighing her on my postage scale and she gained .5 ounces in one day.
