Dr. ENOCHS. Great. How was your experience?
So I went for my results visit yesterday my only complaint is it took 45 mins to be seen. Well actually longer, but I can wait.
Anyways, First you see the nurse and she asks you questions, tells you about medications and checks your weight again. LUCKILY, I lost 5 pounds YEAA!!
Also, she gives you a free tote bag with vitamin samples, a bmi chart, special magazine offers and alot of other nice surgery material. Menus, Protein Options etc. It was a really nice gift for the upcoming event.
Then after that I spoke with Dr. Enochs he again went through all the ups and downs and ifs, ands, or buts of surgery and told me I was clear and ready to go.
Everything went well
Now off to insurance approval. Prayers are needed.
How have your experiences been with his office?>

Sounds nice. I haven't actually met Dr Enochs yet. I seem to be on a different path. I have my insurance approval and GI clearance but I haven't had a results visit. They told me I had to have insurance approval and GI clearance before they would schedule the results visit. I guess different patients are different. I look forward to my goodie bag.. maybe in the next week or so. I hope to have my surgery date tomorrow. Good luck. I hope your insurance approval is quick.

I have been to my intial consultation visit and LOVED Dr Enochs. I did have to wait a little while but when it was my turn he acted as though I was the only patient he had that day. My path is that I am waiting for insurance approval. I was told that my results visit would be after approval. I've been calling like every day because I need to meet a june surgery deadline due to insurance deductibles. I wish everyone the best!
I had no idea everyone followed such a different pattern. I guess they say God has everything planned out for us so as it is is the right way. I just thank god everything is going smoothly. I am praying for insurance approval and then we'll go from there.
I too, think Dr. Enochs is awesome. He is very very thorough and lets you know all the details and what you need to know.
I wish you the best and you are in my prayers to get a date ASAP.
Please do the same for me. Take Care!

I had my initial consult with Dr. Enochs about two weeks ago. I was very impressed with him and with Lisa, his PA.
I have had a rocky time with insurance verification and approval, and the last two weeks has been terrible. At first, I was in such a panic that I was basically telling the office people that they needed to FIX this, as they told me incorrectly back in March. But the initial panic is over and we have discovered that it is the insurance company causing me so much trouble.
Lauren, the office manager, offered me my money back from the initial consultation, but I'm not ready for that - I want my surgery with Dr. Enochs! So we're digging around with the insurance.
All in all, aside from the fact that everyone in the office seems to be taking vacation time these days, Dr. Enochs and his staff have been great - including being patient with me when I was going off the deep end over the last several days.
I have not had my pre-surgery meeting (or goodie bag) yet, and now won't until we figure out the insurance nightmare **sigh**. But I'm willing to fight, as I want Dr. Enochs as my surgeon.

Hi Kelly - things are better with the doc's office. I'm glad of that. But they are not better with insurance. UHC is pulling a lot of crap and saying that they NEVER allow WLS to anyone across the state - that can't be correct, as people have gotten UHC to cover WLS when it is necessary with the right comorbidities. So now that's the fight. At least I have a plan of action though, and I know Dr. Enoch's office staff is there to help.

I put up a stand-alone post on this board asking for anyone to give me info on their UHC insurance experience. But Dr. Enochs' office has done people with UHC, or they wouldn't discuss it at their seminars, would they? I left Angelica a voice mail telling her what UHC told my employer. We shall see.
