A Very Late Update! :)
Hello everyone! I am just checking in! I have not forgotten about any of you but I have been so busy.
I am 10 weeks post op this week. I am doing well, adjusting to my new life. I have lost right at 50 lbs so far. I can not believe it!
I have been very busy since my surgery. I went to work after 1.5 weeks. (I had Roux-Y) The hardest part for me was not throwing up every time I took a sip of those disgusting Opti-Source shakes. Just the smell would make me sick!
I was recently selected to represent Camp Lejeune as an Aspiring Leader Cohort. This means that I have been traveling back and forth to Washington, DC for a week out of the past two months. I have one more month to go. What a difference I could tell with my energy levels. I have been walking all over DC!
I also had a little stumbling block, but I am getting over that now! My fiance bought me a very nice bicycle for an early birthday present. I fell and severely sprained my ankle on the first day! I also had a staff infection in one of the road rash abrasions. It was very painful... but finally healed!
Thank you to all of you who helped me through those first few weeks!
I did post a few pics. I will post some more as soon as I can!
Good thoughts to all of you!

Congratulations on your weight loss. Amazing! Thanks for the inspiration. I am pretty new here. I am in my preop, going to consultants appts phase. I hope you have a better outcome riding your bike next time! Jackie
It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Hey, girl. Haven't heard from you in a while. Your progress is wonderful!!! Isn't it amazing how much more you can do now? I told my 6 yr old that she was too heavy for me to pick up the other day and someone said "how much does she weigh? and how much have you lost?" SHe weighs 58lbs and I've lost 63 now. Isn't that funny. It was like I was carrying her with me everywhere - haha. Well, good to see you back. Keep us informed!
