Question for anyone that has had surgery with Dr Enochs... I have completed all of my consultations. How long should it be before I can get a date?? I desperately need my surgery before June 30th due to insurance deductibles. Is there any hope of that happening???

Hi Susie,

Time frames vary, but if you haven't done so already, I would contact Lisa or one of the other staff at Dr. Enochs office and be sure that they are aware of your deadline. Most times they will work with you. If all of your paperwork and if everything is ready to be submitted to insurance, that's great. If not, find out what's missing and look at the time frame necessary to complete. Once you have your 'package' submitted to insurance, it just depends on the insurance company as to how long it will take them to process your determination. That process can take from a couple of days to a month. Generally surgery isn't scheduled until you get an 'approval' from your insurance carrier. I don't know what the lead time is at Dr. Enochs office is once you have approval, but I'm sure that they will do everything that they can to support and accomodate you.

Wishing you all the best,

I'm scheduled for surgery June 3 and haven't received approval yet from Anthem BCBS..I am getting nervous..I gave them everything they needed. It's been submitted almost 3 weeks. I'll be having surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center..a Center of Excellence thru BCBS. Dr. McNatt is really awesome..I'd be very upset if I were to get denied this close to date. Good Luck to you!

Hi Candace,

You can contact BCBS and find out who the case manager is for your determination. They can tell you where it is in the 'pipeline' and/or if more information is needed. They can also tell you what the timeline is for determination. Some turn things around in 48 hours, some in 15 business days, some in 30 calendar days. It may help if you know what to expect.

Wishing you all the best,

I don't know about the scheduling date.  I am waiting too. I did my pre-op last week and insurance approved me today.  I have already put a call in to them because I hope to schedule for the week of June 15th.  I too am to the wire with insurance.

I would definitly say there is hope.  They told me they could do as fast as one month after your initial visit.

I finished all my consultations and then was scheduled for my results appt which is the 26th. From then I guess they will submit my insurance and give me a date. Pray for approval.

If you call them and you don't get an answer, def. leave a message.

If you haven't had your results visit yet, you probably won't be having your surgery that quick.

What all have you already done?

Good Luck, I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I also want mine ASAP, I figure whenever it happens will be the right time. I called and tried to bypass my "RESULTS" appt. because I already know all my results, everything is clear I just have a small sliding hiatal hernia.

Hopefully, if you can get the results visit and everything done they will be able to take care of it by July.

Best Wishes!
