Hi Jessica, I live near Monroe,south of Charlotte, and had RYN Gastric bypass about 2 1/2 years ago. If you live on the east side of Charlotte and need a support group to attend, we have one at the hospital in Monroe, (CMC-Union) the second Tuesday evening of each month at 6:30pm. We have several people who had surgery from Dr. Gersin or Kuwada who attend the meetings.
It is a great idea to reach out to others in the community and talk to them especailly in the first few days and weeks after surgery to answer your questions and to encourage....we know where you are, we've been there!
