Self-pay cost in NC

Does anyone know the self-pay cost for a RNY or DS in North Carolina?  I have United Healthcare, but I am tired of fighting with them.  I have decided to self pay.  I have jumped through all the hoops, but they refuse to bulge.

I think my Dr said 27,000 for the complete package. I went through fighting with UHC too but I gave up and switched to Medicare who has no problems with  RNY

Do you have a Surgeon if so they should be able to give you a cost.  I know that they did at the Seminar I went to for my Surgeon.  (my Surgeon group does not do the DS, just lap band and RNY's)

My surgeon said somewhere around $30,000.

I was a self pay RNY and it was around $28,000 total.  Hope this helps.  Good luck!!

I was self pay. My surgeon's cost was 7,400.00 and hospital fee's were 17,000.00.

did u just have this lying around? or did u go get a loan at a bank? How do ppl afford this?

I had a very generous family and husband to help pay for my surgery since i'm a SAHM. I had been wanting to do this for years and 08 was just my year. I can't think them enough for there help and support.

Dr Champion in Atlanta is around $23000.00 for everything including follow-ups. he is a one of the best. you cant go wrong with him and his staff
