New Raleigh, NC
Hi Kelly-
Welcome to the forum and I look forward to getting to know you as you make this incredible, life-changing journey.
I have a support group that has a monthly general meeting and several special interest meetings each month here in Raleigh. We are having the general monthly meeting tomorrow. You are welcome to join us. If you are interested, you can visit http://www.meetup.com/nc-wls to get more information. We have a number of members who are patients of Dr. Enochs.
Wishing you all the best,
Barbara

Hey there! I am an Enochs-grad. I love him and his nurses! He is a superb surgeon. I am approaching 5 months since surgery and about 80 pounds or 60% excess body weight lost. Please feel free to ask questions and reach out. This board is fantastic for that.

Welcome to the Loser's club. I will be at the Raleigh Area WLS meetup tomorrow. We'd love to have you at the meeting. I had RealizeBand Surgery March 13. I had my surgery at Nash in Rocky Mount but I have heard good things about Rex.
Anyways, just wanted to say hi and welcome to your WLS family. The people on this website and the people at the support groups are just like my family. But they might understand more about what you are going through than actual family.
Hope to see you soon at one of the meetups.

It would be nice to meet some other people on the same journey as I am. Congratulations on all your weight loss. I am having my surgery at western wake. I had my son there and really liked it. It's small. Nice to meet you.

Welcome aboard!!
Dr. Enochs is a great surgeon and I owe most of my success to his skills.
I had "0" pain (really, it's the truth), and I have had "0" problems since then.
Rex was great, too.
There's also a support group through Dr. Enochs that meets the last Thursday of every month at Rex. Just call his office or email Lisa for more information.

That is wonderful. I really like to hear that! I am having my surgery at Western Wake but pain managment is 1st on my list. After two c-sections (one with good pain management and one with out) I realize that makes all the difference in being able to be up and active after surgery. That also helps speed recovery. I am planning to attend the meeting thursday after next. I look forward to meeting others on the same journey in person. This website is great though! I actually have a great friend at work that had her gastric bypass 5 years ago. She is helping me through. But I know things have changed some in the last few years.
I look forward to hearing from their office this week. I expect they will get the info to bcbs monday or tuesday. Maybe I will know something by friday!
Congratulations on your success!! Nice to meet you. I hope to see you at the rex support group.

I will tell you honestly I regret not having done this years ago - but I am happy I had Dr. Enochs and feel like things worked out the way they should have. And, I would do it all over in a heartbeat if I had to!
