Protein Sources

Hi All,
A friend of mine had RYN about 1 month ago. She has progressed to full foods. However I am writing to get suggestions for some protein drink mixes she can get for water. I know there are a couple that are like Crystal Light but I can remember the name to tell her. She is throwing up everything almost including her vitamins so she isnt getting much in especially protein. Any suggestions?

BTW - the doctor is aware of her throwing up a lot.

Hi.  I know GNC and other health food places have the liquid whey protein.  The ones I saw were about 4 to 6 oz and had 42 g of protein. I was checking it out because I am hoping to have surgery next month with Dr Enochs.   I was going to ask about them at my next appt.  Special-K has a protein powder for a 16 oz water.  I am not sure how much protein is in them but you should tell your friend to check Ollie's.  (if she is in the Cary area)  They had them really cheap last week.

Thanks Kelly! She actually had surgery with Dr. Enochs too. I love him!!!! Anywho I say the Special-K protein waters are on sale 10 for 10 this week at Kroger so I mentioned them to her. I will be sure to foreward the information to her.
Good Luck with your surgery. Maybe I will meet you at the next support group meeting next week, are you coming?

That's great. I need to start collecting some.  I will be at the support group meeting.  It would be great to meet you.  I should know by then if I am approved.  I am so nervous.  They are submitting my packet to insurance today or tomorrow.  I have never actually met Dr Enochs yet.  I had my initial visit scheduled with him but I saw Lisa Long.  I assume I will get to see him for the next one if I am scheduling surgery.  I am really not completely sure how it all works =)  But I haven't heard anything bad about him and a lot of great success stories.  I do Dr Tyner.. oddly enough he removed my appendix in college and sent me to the best OBGYN (in my opinion) who I have seen for 15 years.   I am confident I chose well...
