Questions for Dalton and AnnB
You know I suffer from A.G.E. and I wish I had a notepad at the Meetup last Saturday. Dalton-how much bioten is suggested to get my hair to come back in? Annie-could you give me those ways to add cottage cheese to my diet? I could use the calcium and protein. I could have pmed you both but I think your advice could be useful to others on the board.
Just to interject here Debbi I also took Biotin for several months.
I was taking 5000mcg once a day now I am not taking it because my hair is returning better than ever.
I also have been using a shampoo I got at Great Cuts cant remeber the name but will PM you when I go back and look in a few.
I have been eatting at least 6oz of regular cottage cheese every morning.
I never knew CC had so much protien.
1/2 cup has 15 grams.
I eat the regular because I need the extra calories.

Wow-your hair looks great now. I've been taking 1000 mcg of Biotin 3x a day and I could not remember if Dalton suggested 3000 or 5000. I also use Nioxin hair and scalp treatments. I am going to purchase a straw hat like Ben suggested. Yes- I just realized that about cottage cheese and Ann B. had some great ideas. Will you be home tomorrow around 12:30?I'd like to stop and spray and bring you that pot.
Sorry I did not get right back with you.
We went to Lowes and I was totally in my element amongst the flowers.
Ive been playing in my gift you gave me as soon as I got home love playing in dirt LOL
Yes Nioxin shampoo is what I have been using in fact it has been working so well I am now switching to just a regular shampoo.
One thing that helped me was having my hair cut every six to 8 weeks this seemed to allow the new hair growth to come in quicker.
Will I be home tomorrow this is up for debate.
Mother cut her foot and had to get stiches she was having them taken out today so I will call her to see if she still plans on going to the pool tomorrow.
If I take her I leave here at 1pm.

Hi Debbi!
I eat cottage cheese all the time.
I like to have it with a little pineapple juice and a few chunks of pineapple.
I used to bake a potato in the microwave and then melt cottage cheese and cheddar on top of the potato for another minute and then sprinkle with a little black pepper. Now I did try cooking a very small new potato and did the same thing and it was really good for dinner Saturday night after telling you about this at meet-up.
I also make a fake noodleless lasagna by using a little spaghetti sauce with some Parmesan cheese and cheddar and cottage cheese and heating that in a microwavable dish until the cheese is melted. This is really tasty.
fresh fruit is always good with a little cottage cheese and so are fresh berries.
Cottage cheese also mixes well with a little applesauce
It is also a good economical alternative to ricotta cheese when called for in any recipe.
Thanks for asking. It makes me feel useful. Have a great day!

Hey! I saw the question about Cottage Cheese! I can tell you I use Cottage Cheese in several recipes:
I make a faux lasagna where I use cottage cheese instead of ricotta, I make oatmeal pancakes with cottage cheese, I have a fudgecicle recipe that is AWESOME made with cottage cheese, a mock alfredo sauce with cottage cheese...
Let me know and I'll dig up the recipes if you are interested.
I know the fudgecicle sounds gross but you'd be surprised. It comes out of the freezer just as melt in your mouth creamy and yummy and perfect for a summer treat on those hot days with a boost of protein!
