i think i found my new vice
before i got as big as i am now, and back when i played soccer, i was a running FOOL. i had forgotten how much i loved it.
today, i felt like i was a bit hungry for some reason... but something told me that maybe i should just go outside and run for a bit instead...
so i drove down to godbold park and went on the northwoods greenway, it's 0.82mi each way. i alternated running and powerwalking, so i did like 1.7mi of each over 45 minutes or so.. and BOY DO I FEEL INCREDIBLE! totally took care of the hunger too. if this is what i have to look forward to (and more!), then i don't think i have any regrets whatsoever about having this surgery anymore.
i plan on doing this every morning before work. hopefully, i can get back to where i was when i was in shape!
pretty good for a not even 2 weeks post-op, huh?
p.s.: to those of you in the Raleigh WLS group - sorry I couldn't make it to the meeting this morning; I fully intended to go but some things came up at work I had to attend to. i'll be there next month!
Hi Evan,
Glad to hear that you are doing so well.... And yes, this is what you have to look forward to. It just gets better.
Looking forward to seeing less of you soon.

I made my maiden voyage to Raliegh today all by myself.
I have heard that exercise does help with hunger.
Make sure you are getting enough calories in when running.
I struggle everyday to get my calories in especially when working out.
See ya next month.

I think once I'm more healed, I'm gonna try the Couch25K Program.
We are sugery date "twins" and I too feel GREAT. Glad you're doing so well.

Evan, sorry you could not make it Saturday. Hope to see you next month.
I am looking for an activity to become my new vice. I am on week 4 of the couch25K program. Running has always intrigued me so here I am trying to keep it going.
I so hate exercising so I thought by trying a totally different program other than exercise tapes, I could find some activity I would be passionate about.
I will say I feel incredible while I am running. I think now it is more amazement that i can do it! I have every intention to complete the program and then we'll see if it is the activity for me.
Your words are encouraging and I hope the workout surpasses your previous progress!
If I am gonna eat like a fat girl, then I gotta workout like a skinny girl!
