Getting Ready for My June 1st Surgery!!!

June 1st is my surgery date and I had my Pre-op testing in Pinehurst on May 13 & 15.  Everyone was great at Pinehurst Surgical and at First Health.  On May 13th I did all the blood work, consult wth Dr. M where he explained and showed me where the tools would be-the tubes and where my new stomach will be at.  Also had the following-chest x-ray, ekg and pre-adminssion to the hospital.  The only thing is that my white blood cell count is elevated at 11.3 and the hospital will not perform surgery if it's above 11.  This means signs of infection.  So I am seeing my PCP on Monday morning to see what is needed to fix this.

May 15th was the scope proceedure.  I was nervous, prayed for calmness, success and for my Dr. to be at his best., which he always is!  I don't remember a thing about the proceedure, just asking is all of that going inside of me?!  LOL   Apparently I was saying things while I was out so be prepared for strange stories of things you may have said! 

I'm excited and nervous, but I'm also most there to my June 1st surgery date.  At work, I am not as concerned about it as I am more about my health
