halfway there!!!!!
I'm exactly halfway to my goal "ideal" weight!! Woo Hoo!! I truly don't remember discussing my "ideal" weight with my surgeon or nutritionist or anyone else. I'm beginning to worder if I've set my goal way too low. According to the chart Barbara sent everyone, my idea body weight should be between 154-169. A few people at school where I teach were astounded to hear what my goal was. Skinny people I work with said, "You're going to weigh less than ME!" Hmm... so I wonder if my goal is way too low.
Update: As of today (May 16th) I'm now OVER halfway there. I lost ANOTHER pound!!

I too am halfway there. I also revised my goal because I thought it was too low. I have a large frame so I knew that my original goal of 120-125 was kind of pushing it. I revised to 135-140. Good luck and keep on Losing!!!

I'm 5'8 and I apparently have a medium frame, based on that chart Barbara sent around. When I wrap my fingers around my wrist my finger barely touch, so that's considered a medium fram. I always, always, always thought I had a large frame, but I guess that's because I think I was born a size 16. *grin*

You are ahead of the game a bit early so huge congrats going out to you!!!
The closer you get to your goal I think the more you will be in tune with what your goal should really be for yourself. I have numbers floating around in my head (and on paper...OCD! lol), but I keep telling myself to focus more on how I FEEL (both physically and mentally) and what my body's weight is willing naturally to do with the lifestyle I'm comfortable leading. Then I will know I've reached goal! :)
Just a side-note, some HS moms were recently sharing their daughter's weights and I was so surprised to hear that the sophmores that I thought were my size in HS (I was 125 in my senior year) were actually about 20-30 lbs. heavier! Boy, 145-155 never looked so good! If only I could get that youthful, firm skin back. hehehe
