No Longer Obese!!!!
Dear Friends,
While I have not posted but a time or two, I am on the boards everyday - getting inspiration and advice from all of you. I just had to post and share my big news - as of today, I am no longer Obese, weigh under 200 pounds, and have lost 105 pounds total!
At my pre-op visit on 11/20/2008, I weighed 304 pounds. My surgeon threatened to postpone if I did not loose at least 15 pounds before my surgery date. So with a lot of prayers and support, I lost 19 pounds and weighed 285 on December 2, 2008 when I had RNY gastric bypass.
Today I weigh less than I have in 25 years. I started out wearing a size 26 (tight!) and just bought a size 14 over the week-end!
This process has been life changing in so many ways. While I still have a ways to go to meet goal, I am grateful everyday for the new chance I have been given to truly live a new life.
Thanks to all of you who have helped me on the journey - I am so grateful!

I can't wait to get to just "overweight".
I have moved from morbidily obese to just obese so that is a great jump! To get to overweight I have about 22 more pounds! But in that process I will hit one-derland so I will have a huge milestone before I get to just being overweight.
