Lost My Job. Need Prayers & Support! Thanks!

Everything here lately had been working out too good. I should've known something would have to happen. However, I firmly believe that EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. I was laid off today which is terrible but it could be so much worse. I did get 3 weeks severance pay, I will file for unemployment but it's still terrible. I had been there over a year and really enjoyed my job. I know that God has a plan for me and I have a purpose. Whatever is supposed to happen will happen whether I like it or not.

Please pray for me in this situation, and during the insurance submission of my hopefully soon RNY surgery.

Hopefully, when I get this surgery I will be able to do stuff and try new jobs I've never had.

In August I am going back to school to get my Human Services Degree, and then go on to become a  Substance Abuse Counselor.

Keep me in your prayers & Support is always appreciated.

Hope you all had a wonderful mothers day!

Sorry about the loss of your job.  I also live in RR and know that jobs are scarce.  Where did you work?  What kind of work?  Did you know that Will Ferrell's grandmother and grandfather lived here in RR?  I live in a house that is beside her's and she used to talk about him a lot before she died.  She did not live to see him so successful but his father, Lee, was also a successful musician in California.  Janice

Hi Jordan,

I'm so very sorry to hear of your job loss. It's been happening to a lot of us lately. I hope that you will still be able to have your surgery and I'm sure that you will find that your life will start to bloom like a rose in springtime.

Wishing you all the best,

Barbara

You have a great attitude! I hope all will go well with your surgery and your recovery and whatever the future holds for you. Keep the uplifting spirit! Jackie

I'm sorry to hear about your job. I too lost my job in January. I loved my job too so I can understand. I had my surgery in March so as long as you keep your Cobra Insurance you shouldn't have a problem with the insurance.

I just have to tell you that when I got laid off it probably was the best thing for me. I have been able to concentrate on getting healthy. I know it is scary but use the "time off" to your advantage and keep active. Exercise because it produces endorphins which will help with the moods that come with stress of being out of work.

You can be your biggest fan or your biggest critic. You have to make the decision to be your own cheerleader. We will all be here to help cheer you on so you can be a "loser" too.

Good luck with all your endeavors and I will keep you in thoughts and prayers.

If you need anything, I'm not in RR but I will do what I can to help a fellow "unemployed loser"!
