How was your weekend? Any plans this week?

I've read through all of the posts so I feel caught up finally!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!  I always love hearing about what everyone's been up to and what is going on in your lives...so, what's been up?!

We had an awesome weekend here.  :)  It was our youngest daughter's Sweet 16 on Friday and Mother's Day on Sunday, so we spent the entire weekend just doing fun stuff together as a family.  A D**** cream cake and Incredible Hulk movie rental Friday evening.  On Saturday it was hair cut (no color, yet!) & brow wax for me, then as a family we hit several Goodwills, saw Star Trek (LOVED it!), and had dinner at TGIF ($5 meals for May...AWESOME deal...sign up for their club to earn money and get a free dessert voucher in your email before you go!).   After dinner we went to Wal-Mart, which was under construction and a MESS, so we decided to go to the new one the next day for our groceries, but not before we ran into Tamara and talked awhile!  :)  Sunday was spent with hubby going to one more new Goodwill, a new restaurant (Moe's), the new Wal-Mart, and a cappuccino with tons of conversation on the drive home...I gave myself a headache, we talked so much!  (*I* talked so much!  lol)

This week I go for my 6 month follow-up a week early on Thursday and I am hoping to come away with a surgery date for my hernia/prolapse repairs.  I am supposed to be at my "halfway" point at 6 months but am not really losing right now (my weight-loss chart on my profile is hilarious due to the colonoscopy cleanse and bowel issues I've been having!), so I am just hoping to get to the teens and stay there by this week's end, which is within 10 pounds of my halfway point!  :)  Keep your fingers crossed for me, please!

I tell ya, I knew going vegan before almost cured my constipation.  I am trying to stay as close to vegan as I can since my colonoscopy.  I choose to eat vegetarian occasionally, especially when we eat out.  Now, every morning I wake up and "go" and I am "going" about 3 times every day!  WOW!  For someone that had to resort to help every 7-10 days to "go", this is amazing.  :)

Hope everyone has a great week!  {{{Group Hug!!!}}}

Hey Shauna!!

I had a great weekend as well.  Garrett and I went to the camper (we have it set up permanently at a campground in Morganton) and had a fun time.  We came home early Sunday morning to do the Monday's Day thing and I got sick!!!  I think it is Gall bladder fun~~I have an appointment with Dr. Hata Thursday!

We are getting a new puppy--it is a long hair miniature dachshund!  She is six weeks old and we are going to pick her up on Sunday!  Garrett will be so excited!

I finished school last week and am soooo sooo happy!!  My degree is in Business Administration.  I am already contemplating returning to Gardner Webb for their GOAL program to get my Master's.  I just don't know what I want to be when I grow up!!

Other than that....just the usual.  Work and Garrett; I am actually looking forward to be able to attend support group meetings, be more involved in my church, and other things now that my school is done (at least until August if I decide to go back then).

Glad you had a great weekend!  Talk to you sooN!

Pam
