Size TWELVE Gap Jeans!!!!
Lisa,
Congratulations... I'm glad you got the 12's and hope you enjoy them while you can. You'll soon be into 10's I'm sure.
Wishing you continued success,
Barbara

OK....DH is being a butt this weekend....no Mother's day card, nada...zip....so I decided to take DD and go to South Park mall yesterday. Went into the Gap and tried on a pair of size 12 "curvy" low rise jeans, and while they're mighty snug, THEY FIT!!!! I gave a whoop in the dressing room, and debated buying both the 14s (which were a little loose in the waist) and the 12s...but decided to be optimistic and just go with the 12s. I have not worn a size 12 since 7th grade! I also bought my first Lilly Pulitzer outfit. Just love the stuff and it's so expensive, but figured I deserved it, especially since DH was being a jerk this weekend....size 14 shift, beach print...very cute, and fits perfectly. There were some capri pants that looked cute, too...but too pricey for me....ugh! Why is it when I was so fat, I"d have paid any amount of money to find something that just fit me, and now, when I can wear regular sizes, I don't have the money to spend??? Crazy, isn't it!
Just thought I'd share....
Also, DD and I wore matching Gymboree mother/daughter dresses to church this morning, and that was such and exciting thing....they don't make 'em in big sizes, so I got to do something I've only dreamed of.....the "look alike" thing. Got loads of compliments, too! :-)
Happy Mothers Day to all the mommies out there!
Congratulations on reaching it. I bet that was exciting. :)
(Sorry about DH, feel ya there.)
Hanna Andersson also makes really cute mother/daughter outfits. :)
Size 12 Gap jeans...how fun is that?! I can't even imagine, Lisa. I was sooo happy to get into ONE size 18 jean at Goodwill over the weekend...all the others were too tight but this one pair FIT and that's all that counts, right?! lol It's gotta feel so great to walk into a nice store and put on a size 12. :) Low rise too...holy moly. Don't know if I'll be able to do that until after a tummy tuck! You give me such hope. I remember not long ago you were feeling a little blue about your weight-loss, am I remembering correctly? I'm feeling that way a little lately because things have slowed down substantially lately and the sizes aren't going down very quickly. Did that happen to you and then finally break loose after awhile? I hope you got a photo of you and your daughter in your dresses! :)
