Size TWELVE Gap Jeans!!!!

OK....DH is being a butt this weekend....no Mother's day card, nada...zip....so I decided to take DD and go to South Park mall yesterday.  Went into the Gap and tried on a pair of size 12 "curvy" low rise jeans, and while they're mighty snug, THEY FIT!!!!  I gave a whoop in the dressing room, and debated buying both the 14s (which were a little loose in the waist) and the 12s...but decided to be optimistic and just go with the 12s.

I have not worn a size 12 since 7th grade!  I also bought my first Lilly Pulitzer outfit.  Just love the stuff and it's so expensive, but figured I deserved it, especially since DH was being a jerk this weekend....size 14 shift, beach print...very cute, and fits perfectly.  There were some capri pants that looked cute, too...but too pricey for me....ugh!  Why is it when I was so fat, I"d have paid any amount of money to find something that just fit me, and now, when I can wear regular sizes, I don't have the money to spend???  Crazy, isn't it!

Just thought I'd share....

Also, DD and I wore matching Gymboree mother/daughter dresses to church this morning, and that was such and exciting thing....they don't make 'em in big sizes, so I got to do something I've only dreamed of.....the "look alike" thing.  Got loads of compliments, too! :-)

Happy Mothers Day to all the mommies out there!

Sandy, your big day will be here before you know it!!!!
How sweet of your DH to cook for you!  I made hamburgers on the grill....but at least I got to go out for sushi for lunch.  Guess that's better than nothing! LOL!

The liquid diet is not as bad as you think....the first couple days are rough, but then you get used to it.  Can you still have cream soups?  Those were really yummy and filled the holes in my tummy.  I got a bunch of the individual servings that you can drink right out of the cup...I"m here if you need a shoulder....but you can do this....really!

If you'd like, I will try and get by the hospital and visit you after your surgery.  Depending on my schedule and how long you're gonna be there....just let me know if you think you'd be up to it!

Hang in there!

I can have cream soups, I know I can do the liquid diet, for one thing it is not truly liquid I can still have veggies.   I assume I will be in the hospital Monday and Tuesday if all is good I should be able to go home on Wed.  If you can make it I would love to meet you but of course I will not look my best .  I saw Dr K on Thursday he is so funny, I asked him what issues/ side effect or complication he sees come in the office long term, he said you mean other than weight loss .  Well then he of course answered.

Liquid diet..  A good word of advice that someone gave to me...  The first 3 days are the worst.  After that, it was a breeze.  Keep your head up and watch the bigger prize!

Day one was not bad at all,  Day 2 is a little harder so if it gets better after the 3rd day I will be thrilled.  Already lost 3 lbs in one day.

Wearing a size 12 again is one of my dreams. It's been a long time. My husband cooked on the grill for all of my family and his parents today. It was nice.
Congratulations on your weight loss and being able to wear the clothes that you love.
You are an inspiration. Jackie

It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Holy cow, Jackie!  ME?  An inspiration?  I've never thought of myself as such.  Now, Barb, Jenn, Annie, Myrtis, Darcie, etc....there's inspiration for you.  But thank you....you made my day!
Enjoy having someone else do the cooking today!
