Getting insurance post op

I haven't posted on Obesity Help in a long long time. I had Gastric Bypass in March of 06 and know that it was the best decision I ever made. I have went from 350 down to 175-180. At the time of surgey I had medicaid and used Dr. Malik in Rocky Mount. Since Surgery I have moved to Winston Salem and medicaid has stopped. I work full time and even make too much money for my children to be on medicaid. My employer does not provide insurance for the company and I have  tried and tried to get a private policy but get denied every time because of my past RnY surgery. I have my yearly exams at the health department and I am a self pay patient or if something arrises I go to the ER. Nothing serious from the weightloss surgery has ever been an issue for me but I am in desperite need to see a dr. and follow up on everything. I was just in the ER yesterday with a gigantic cyst on my ovary and Lord knows my medical bill will keep me poor for a very long time. Does anyone know of a good insurance company who insures past bariatric patients? All comments are appreciated. Thank you..... Adrienne
