My Update
Hey Michelle,
It does get easier. Just take it easy. Are you staying by yourself or with your sister when you go home?? Don't feel bad about taking the medications. I always thought that I would not take that much pain medicine but I did. Then as it got easier I would take the medicine less often. Did have to take medicine a little bit longer at night.
Sorry you have been nauseated today.
Good Luck and call me if you need something. As you know I am a hop, skip and a jump.
Tamara

Tamara, my brother is actually staying with me. He's finally retired out of the Navy, so he volunteered to be my nurse.
Dr. Edwards said that as long as I can tolerate thicker liquids tomorrow, then I'll get to come home. Funny thing is, I had never had such trouble with my blood sugar or blood pressure. He told me not to worry b/c it's my body's reaction to the stress of surgery.

Michelle, I have been thinking of you all week. Hope your nausea passes and you get to go home soon. That is awesome that your brother is going to be there to help you out!
I had some major blood sugar problems right after my surgery and worked closely with my nut (nutritionist) to help sort them out. It lasted the first 1-2 months but then stabilized. I was like, "What did I do to myself?!" If this happens to you, hopefully yours will stabilize eventually as well. It does take our bodies awhile sometimes to get used to all the new plumbing!
Hang in there and keep on keeping us posted. We are all so excited for you!
