I made it to "One-derland" Today!!!

I have been doing pretty good. Had my first fill on April 24th. Didn't help though. I still don't get full at all.

I had been stuck at just over 200 for about 5 weeks. I have been working out a lot (about 2 hours 3-4 x per week) and I know I was still losing because I'm actually down 10 sizes from when I started this whole process back in November. But I was getting completely frustrated because all I wanted to do was get to "One-derland".

This week I haven't been able to work out because I am having severe pain in my knees. This morning I decided to see how much I had GAINED since I couldn't work out and was starting to feel like a big blob...so I got on the scale at BAM 198!!!!!!!! I made it....Finally!  I know it's not a HUGE loss but it is a HUGE victory for me. So now since I started this whole thing I've lost 65 pounds. I'm wearing the same size I was in high school now (I can't even believe that).

Thanks to all my Raleigh Area WLS Group buddies for all the encouragement!!! I have been doing better on getting my calories in too so I guess maybe I'm coming out of "Starvation mode".

I'm just so excited to be out of the 200's. I don't even know how long it's been since I've been in the 100's. Probably since my first year in College. I am definately not going back...I will be working even harder to make sure of that!

I just want everyone else to be encouraged! It can happen if you don't give up! Remember we are all in this together and if we encourage others we are lifting ourselves up too!

I'm proud to be on the "Loser's Bench" with all of you!

Keep up the good work everyone! Gidget

Gidget,  CONGRATULATIONS!  Reading your post is just awesome.  So happy for you!  It's amazing about the starvation mode thing, isn't it?.  I see that on The Biggest Loser a lot.  I have a hard time with my "diet mind" not battling against the fact that I need to give my body the calories it needs.  You have done so fantastic with your band...-10 sizes and -65 pounds...WOW!  Again, huge congrats and the of wishes for much continued success!  :)

(((((Gidget))))),

CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to the wonderful world of ONDERLAND! Disney only thinks it's the greatest place on earth. I'm sure that you are frustrated at not being able to work out, but that will come again. You are doing a wonderful job working that band... keep it up sweetie!
