The Mystery has been SOLVED!!!

I think I found out why my heart has been skipping-I am not eating enough calories in a day.  I pulled my book out "Life after gastric bypass" and read about how many calories a day to eat and it was saying about 300-400 calories per meal and I counted mine and I have been eating about 600 calories in a day-no wonder I have been feeling weird and my heart skipping.   This weekend I made a point to eat more per meal and not wait 6 to 7 hours to eat like I do when I work-no skipping of the heart and I have felt better.  If you have not gotten that book I recommend it to everyone-it has daily menus in the back and it has opened my eyes--I was concentrating on protein and some carbs-low fat and low sugar-but after reading some of those sample menus I am missing alot of calories at the same time--tomorrow is grocery day and hopefully I have solved the mystery!!
Everyone keep up the great work!!!

Katrina knows her stuff and people that don't eat enough carbs/fats/calories get into trouble. Glad you figured it out! Palpatations are scary.

Hi Gina,

I'd contact your Dr about this. You should check and see what they recommend re: caloric intake. While, I think that you are headed on the right track, be sure that you are in sync with the protien, carb, fat distribution and total caloric intake they want you to have... I'm sure that you can have them assess your diet and make some good recommendations for you. My program wanted me to have 800 to 1000 calories a day when I was losing weight. Now, I consume about 2000 calories a day in maintenance.

I'd also have them check on the palpatations... It might resolve itself, but I'd check into it, just to be sure.
