New to the website and the world of WLS
i have MedCost. I new what my insurance companie's requirements were. i started the 3mo diet and excercise in february, had my decision visit with the surgeon this week. they are submitting my information to the insurance company this week. i am told that MedCost will take about 2 weeks to render a decision....................by looking at most people's experience here on the board, most insurances respond quicker than that.
good luck!

Welcome to the site! Good luck on your journey. I had a very easy time of it I must say. The hardest part for me was smelling food in the house. Needless to say, after my first "fit", we stuck to soups that I could have as well. My DH was very supportive and never complained. I was on liquids only for first 3 weeks. My liquids did not include jello, pudding, cottage cheese as some others do. I was stuck to have 2 oz of liquid every 15 mins as long as I was awake. I experimented with several different protein shakes before I found what I liked. EAS Myoplex Original Chocolate Fudge that I get at BJ's Warehouse club. I did stock up on lots of Celestial Seasoning teas. Read the lables. All are not caffeine free. I did enjoy and still do my cup of coffee in the am. I had switched to decaf before surgery so it was no big deal for me. My life savor soup was potato soup. I did have to go with room temp water...which I must say I can't tolerate now. Water makes me nauseaus. I drink decaf unsweetened tea almost all day long, unless I am at the gym. If you have any questions, feel free to PM (private message) me. You can do that by clicking on my avitar and sending the message. Good Luck!.
