stomach pain

I am 6 months out and Tonight I have gotten really bad stomach pain. It is almost had me doubled over. The pain feels like it is at the top of my stomach. I had the pain about 30 minutes ago and it lasted about 3-4 minutes and it was gone and now its back. the only thing I have done different today was about an hour and half ago I ate a small bite of a pepper from a veggie tray and I took some cough syrup with codeine in it. Has any one else had this happen? Any thoughts?

Do you still have your gallbladder? That pain comes and goes. It is also can be related to different foods you eat.

Call your dr. ... I'm wondering if it might be either your gallbladder or kidneystones.

Sounds like gallbladder to me also.  Let's hope NOT.  But better to get it checked out.  Maybe it's just gas, I've had some of that as of late that kills me!

After a couple of hours the pain was gone and has not come back. I know its not my gall bladder, they took that out when I had my RNY.

I'm going to sound like my grandmother - "Have you been to the potty lately?" As crazy as this sounds, my one and only trip to the ER since surgery was because I was constipated and dehydrated. (If only I had thought about my Grandma and her ""regular"" advice.)
