The trach is out!!

Today went absolutely fabulous! I went to see the ENT and I thought at one time he wasn't going to take it out but he asked me what I wanted to do. Of course I said I wanted to take it out. So thats what he did. I am so happy. I can talk but only a little. I have to press into where the bandage is so that I can talk. My kids were so happy when I came home and could say something to them. My youngest son was waiting outside for me. He came running to the suv and said, mom can you talk? I just smled and went and sat dwn on the front porch. A few minutes later he came over to me and I said something to him and he was so happy. I'm happy things are getting better. I absolutely do not regret doing this. I know it is going to save my life!!

SUPER WOW! Now don't wear yourself making up for all the lost time talking!  I know you must feel so much better. 

This is great news for sure! Just don't overdo the talking thing right away cause you don't want to wear out your laranx thingie to soon. I know your family is glad.

Awesome news, Em!  (May I call you Em?!)  :)  Other than the trach being out now, how are you feeling?  How is everything else going for you?  We want details, girlfriend, DETAILS!  lol
