Hi- My date is June 1, 2009 and we have the same Doctor!!!  So I'll see you in Pinehurst!! It's getting close and yes, I have been excited and nervous at the same time!

Congrats on your decision.  I will be having mine on May 13.  I'm nervous and excited.  I started my 2 week  protein diet yesterday.  I have to say I didn't do too bad.  I'm having lap band.  I was looking for something that was not as invasive.   Good luck to you all.

I wish my Dr would have directed me towards RNY in the first place...hind sight..

I wish I would have been successful with the Band and not have had to go through over a yr of disappointment and shame for not losing weight. I look forward to getting my life on track with RNY...

Hello there!  My advice would be to stop being nervous...it just isn't worth it!  lol  I always tease pre-ops about this because I was sooo nervous beforehand.  I mean, I was scoping the exit, thinking how I could rip off all the stuff I was attached to, and make a run for it just before being wheeled to the OR!  Then, the day we were pulling out of the hospital to go home, I realized how quickly it was all over with and there I was, "on the bench" and at the threshhold of the new life I'd been planning and dreaming about.  :)  Take a deep breath and get ready for your miracle...you're gonna love it!  Wishing you lots of luck!!!
