Mine's coming up........I've breezed through several food oriented holidays since September, but I was just curious as to how many of you handled the "no birthday cake" moment!

Thanks, and I hope you're having beautiful weather today......it's gorgeous here!

Can they not make a wls friendly desert? Say Strawberry shortcake modified or the coolwhip/jello/yogurt pie? Most anything can be modified to be less fattening. Just my thought. My family did that for me on mine and they liked the desert too!

Coolwhip/jello/yogurt pie (not sure what the name of it is but is ALWAYS a HIT.

1 small tup cool whip light or free wich ever you prefer
1 personal size yougurt(4 oz I think) any flavor light( we use strawberry or key lime)
1 small box of jello flavor to match the yogurt( POWDER)
1 grahm cracker pie crust (we either make one or use the SF one)

Mix the top 3 ingredients in a bowl really good. Pour into pie crust and let sit at least in fridge 3 hours. Usually make mine the night befor. Enjoy!

** edited to add in fridge..oopsie

Last year for my birthday, my mother made me a sugar free peanut butter pie, and it was really wonderful!

Hi, Suzanne!

Thanks so much for the congrats!  I am still doing the Zumba, training for a triathalon, RevMaster class, circuit training, step interval, and all abs.  Whew!  I never thought I would be this active!

So many people at work do not recognize me either.  It is a great feeling!

I ate a very small slice of birthday cake and the guests ate the rest.   That's just me, I can handle sugars in moderation.

Moma made me a sugar free cheesecake. I think she found the recipe on the Splenda website. I've never been a cake person - I've always had a pie of some sort for my birthday.

I like the idea of strawberry shortcake w/ sugar free whipped cream for a grand looking dessert. I bet the new splenda cakemix with the diet coke like we used to make at WW would be good for the cake part. Bake them as cupcakes so you have built in portion control. hmmmmm.....now I feel like cooking.
