Two WOW moments!
Okay, I know this is going to sound crazy but I was overly joyed when it happened.
Last night I sat on my bed to watch a show. While sitting there, I without thought, sat indian style. My daughter came in my room and went WOW. I was like wow what. She said you can actually sit indian style. That's the first time she's seen me sitting that way and she is 19 years old. What a wonderful feeling! Of course I then got up and said, I wonder if I can cross my legs. So I sat in my computer chair and sure enough, I was able to cross my legs.
I may not be where I'd like to be right now, but it feels great to be where I am! Isn't if funny how the smallest things make you realize your body is changing?

I think it was 2 weeks ago that I realized that I could cross my legs. I have not been able to do that for years. It really is amazing how things other peole dont even consider while doing it can brighten our day. Small successes almost daily. Good for you. Enjoy, I know I am. Have a really good weekend!
Hi Deb,
Congratulations!!! I think it is the aggregate of all of these little wows that makes everything come together. Enjoy and be sure to let us know when the next one comes around... It's not just about the numbers on the scale or even on the measuring tape. It's also about the quality of life changes that add up.
Wishing you continued success,
Barbara

All that air that can circulate between our legs is healthy too! Congrats!

After spending most of my life (and all of my adult life) not being able to cross my legs, I now find that I do it ALL the time. Which wouldn't be so bad, except for I sometimes find myself trying to do it while driving....
It is definitely the little victories that make up all of the big ones. Being able to sit in a regular chair. Or aqueeze through spaces you think there's no way you're going to get through. Sitting indian style. Going up a flight of stairs without getting winded. Going up four flights of stairs without needing oxygen when you get to the top. I could go on, but I think you know what I'm saying. Its the little things that people who have never been morbidly obese don't even think about that make up the victories, both big and small, as we go through this journey.
