I was reading through the various WOW moments that are posted on the first page of the NC forum and was just beaming!  Realized I had one myself last night and thought, "We are all at different phases of the game here, I wonder what everyone's most recent wow moment has been?"  So, if you'd please share yours NOW!...    Just one, just the most recent, if you can dare not share them all!  lol

Mine:  Last night I went to the ballfield for our daughter and a friend to have batting practice with their daddies.  When we got there, the other gal's mom (one of my best friends) had her new bleacher seats all set up and ready for me to use one to sit next to her.  There it sat, NARROW WITH ARMS!  My heart skipped a beat knowing that I was going to have to say thanks but no thanks...then I thought, "Maybe, just maybe, these hips could actually fit in one of those things now!"  So I ever so carefully and gently began to sit down and VOILA!  I slid right in that thing with room to spare!  WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!

Who's next?!

Funny how that happens isn't it? I still 'make room' for people to pass and I don't really have to anymore. LOL!

GOOD FOR YOU GIRL!!! WOOO HOOO!!!

Well for me, this is kinda sad too but thats another story. I was going through my clothes and ended up with 3 and 1/2 GARBAGE bags of clothes that are too big for me! AND the 18 that my daughter wanted to go to good will, well I be danged FIT ME!!!! Soo I was just thrilled! I haven't worn an 18 in over 10 years and in almost 6 months I am down from a 26/28. That just blows my mind!!!

I walked a 5k today with a friend.  I was walking at a leisurely pace and didn't get winded at all.  It took me only 1 hour and 4 minutes and I thought that was pretty good although I could've done it quite a bit faster and will try to in the next one in two weeks.

My biggest wow moment came when I decided to try and run (and I mean really run) an entire mile and was able to do it with no problem.  I was amazed!  I am currently training for a small triathalon.  I cannot believe this is me.  A woman in my training class said, "I want to be an athlete like you."  My jaw dropped.  ME!!! An Athlete!!!  Just a year ago I was over 420 lbs!  I am so happy I am only 11lbs from being in Onderland and it has only been 11 months.

The wows keep coming and I want treasure each one.  It is so exciting reading all of your wows as well!  We can all rejoice together.

  * BTW, I posted a progress set of pictures on my profile if any one would like to see.  Thanks!

My resent wows have been being  able to work in my yard for hours at a time.
In fact after my coffee this morning Lee and I are going to go at it again.
I have a bunch of bulbs to plant and maybe transfer some sweet Williams.
I had to work yesterday and when I got home OMG Lee had been super busy outside.
In fact he had moved some plants out of a very large flower box filled it up with new soil and prepared it for me to plant my herbs.
If I havent mentioned this year I started using fresh herbs in my cooking I am totally hooked there is nothing like it.
We were given an Aerogarden for Christmas and it has been a wonderful addition to our home.
In the Aerogarden now we are growing heriloom cherry tomatoes.

Congrats to everyones WOW moment!!  How wonderful--mine I have to tell you was the other day when I went to try on bathing suits--it was halarious!!  I tried a bikini on (which I have never worn before) and let me tell you the bottoms were medium which floored me and the top was an XL and my LONG boobies would not fit into the little triangles--I laughed so hard I know the woman in the next stall was thinking I had lost my mind--Just the thought of a medium was so exciting-I think I could get away with a two piece if it had underwire in the top--lol  I think I am a 36 long--LOL
Congrats again to everyone on their WOW moments and let's keep them coming--it gives me a "warm fuzzy" when I read them!!

Good Morning this bright and sunny Sunday!! I too love to read the post of other's WOW moments... They give me hope and encourgement when days seem so hard to deal with... My most recent WOW moments was a couple of weeks ago, a friend and I went shopping... I was able to find a pair of Rider jeans for $1.98 on sale, the first WOW... they were size 16L.... I thought maybe in a few months... well, knock me down and call me a monkey... they FIT!!!!.... I haven't been in a size 16 since before 1968... over 40 years..... I am constantly amazed when I try on something that is what I had come to consider as "small clothes"... I also brought a couple pairs of shorts for summer... size L... and yep... you guessed right... they fit too... feels so good to be able to have a bigger selection of clothes... Now if I could only find that dang moneytree that everyone talks about... LOL Hope everyone has a blessed day!!!

Well lets see....  It's been 6 1/2 years since my RNY and WOW moments are few and far between; and they're usually just little realization moments more than WOWs lately.  Anyway, I did have one last week when I saw a friend I hadn't seen in about 8 years.   We had talked on the phone and decided to meet up for coffee.  I didn't even think to tell him I had lost weight.  So when I saw him I went up and gave him a hug, he didn't know what to think..lol!  Then I realized the problem... lol!!!  As soon as I started talking he knew it was me and we both laughed.  We had a good visit and he kept looking at me funny.  It's still a bit weird having people not recognize me and I forget to mention it now...  Hmmm...  I'm going to San Diego the end of May and I can't wait to see everyone (and I'm not going to tell anyone... lol!!!!!)

Have a great weekend!

CONGRATS to everyone on their WOW moments. I've been having small ones along the way.
The last one was so nice. On Friday, 4/17 hubby and I recd 2 Carolina Tar Heel t's that I had ordered for us when they won the Championship. I ordered 2 XL. His fit him fine but mine was still too tight for comfort. Showed my rolls!! So just this past Friday, only one week, I tried it again and it fit perfect!!! I wore it to work on Friday and everyone was like, wow, you sure are shrinking

Well my head didn't shrink..IT SWELLED AND STAYED THAT WAY THE WHOLE DAY
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Glad you could fit in that little seat Shauna! I wouldn't even try yet but give me a couple more months lol
