OT: Update
First of all, hubby and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary yesterday! I wasn't even considering WLS last year at this time, so I would have been bowled-over with shock if you'd given me a crystal ball then to see where I am today. lol After surgery, my heart-of-heart's was hoping that I would be below 230 for our anniversary because I don't remember when I was below that and...I AM!!! :) My next heart-of-heart's desire is to be under 200 for my birthday in July...even if it's 199.8! lol On another note...23 years...wow. I used to think it was amazing how time had flown but I now can't even remember my life without him. :)
I always feel like I need to mention a disclaimer when I talk about my current health issues because they are unrelated to my WLS and I don't want to scare any pre-ops! :) So, this is definitely OT when it comes to WLS, but I can't tell you all how much I appreciate your continued support, even with this. {{{Group hug!!!}}}
My abdominal pain is peaking, so I'm needing to get this under control while I go through all the pre-op testing. Today's agenda is to go back over my notes I created when I went gluten-free vegan in January 2008, which cured the pain in the first place. Do you know how hard it is to eat gluten-free vegan?! lol Oh gosh, I'm so glad I have the notes on CD. Now it will just be a matter of coming up with a shopping list, menu, and following through with the plan each time I eat.
I have a dr.'s visit with my PCP next Monday (need to have my labs done that day...I'm a month behind this time) and I begin my bowel-prep that day for my colonoscopy which is on Wednesday. I'm honestly trying not to dwell on the prep, the procedure and my surgeries (hernia & colon) to follow because I am sooo dreading it all!
Hope everyone has a GREAT week! Our daughter has 3 HS games Tue, Wed, Fri and she was just asked to join another travel ball team this summer. She keeps life busy & exciting, that's for sure. Lil' man and I have an agenda today so I'm going to get hopping! {{{Hugs}}} to all!
(Annie, how is Emelinda? She is sooo heavy on my mind, as I know she is many others! Thank you for being her angel and keeping us posted the best you can! -- Edit: I just read your reply under buggyboot's post...thank you and give Em my love!!!)

Hey there Girlie - thanks for the update. It sounds like things are hectic for you but in a very good way. I hope the health issues soon get resolved.
My very bestest friend in the whole wide world (and her daughter, her sister and her niece) all have Celiac Disease and are on a gluten free diet - while it's not the vegan version it is still extrememly difficult and a definite learning experience. You've got my sympathy in that area.
Congratulations on 23 years - that's wonderful.

Thank you. :) I see that you have Dr. Cook as well. He has been such a great help to me in more ways than one. If he can get me thin and painfree, I will feel invincible! lol
One of our daughter's private coaches was from Shelby NC...I'm thinking that may be near you. :) (We are in Black Mountain.) Perhaps we will meet up at one of the support groups or galas eventually?
