Little wow

My youngest(6) finally learned to ride her bike without training wheels.  Last night we all took a walk together (girls on their bikes).  I'm not sure how far we walked but I know it was over a mile and I didn't feel tired or winded at all.  I'm trying to traing to walk a 5k next weekend.  I'd love to be able to run it one day but I'll settle for walking now.

That's so neat that you can do more things with your girls. Good luck with your 5k. I am in the pre-op phase and feel I have hardly any energy to do simple stuff and have knee and leg pain when I do much. Wah-wah!  Guess I am just envious. I hope I, too will feel better and be able to do more stuff after surgery. Keep up the good work. Jackie
It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Good luck to you!  I do not regret my decision to have this surgery at all, even in the tough times!  Thanks!

Ginny,

Congratulations on your wow... I think it's a bigger wow than you are giving yourself credit for because it means that you have really gained strength and stamina. That means that you are significantly healthier than  you were just a few months ago... That is a HUGE WOW!

Congrats again,

Barbara

It's amazing how good you will feel when the weight starts coming off.  My daughter has stairs in her house and I used to dred going up and down.  Now they are nothing.  I can run up stairs and not feel winded at all.  Walking is a breeze.  I bought a pair of flip flops (Nice ones) I wore them for the entire week on vacation and my feet never hurt.  Now you are talking to someone who never wanted to wear anything other than tennis shoes or walking shoes. My feet would hurt SO BAD.   42 pounds I hope are gone forever.

I got excited over the Easter Holiday and rode a bike.  I fell off and I think I cracked a rib.  Hey - there is a down side to everything.  LOL

I got my bike out to do the same thing and I guess lucky for me the tires were flat.  I will bet them pumped up but I hope not to fall.

Congratulations!!!! I know you enjoyed it. It's amazing the sense of accomplishment that comes following this surgery with WOW moments like these. There are so many things that I think the "skinny" world takes for granted that just amaze me.

Keep up the great work and you'll be running 5K's in no time.
