This is a program that allows ANYONE to begin to jog coming from a "couch potato" status.  It was brought up at the Raleigh meeting this morning that some would like to do it, and I volunteered to help coordinate the threads for it.

We will begin on Monday the 27th.  Each session takes 20-30 minutes, only 3 times a week.  In  as few as 9 weeks, you can be jogging 30 minutes at a time.

So who's in?

I'll sit on the couch and think about it for a few days... LOL. I'm not sure if I'm up for something like this, but I applaud all who endeavor to do something like this.

This sounds very intresting to me but for the life of me I dont know if I know how to jog or run.
It has been many moons since I jogged or ran I feel like I will have to relearn how to do this.

Funny that this should be brought up - I was looking at this site last week.

I had promised myself that I wouldn't try to run until I reached 200 pounds, but I'm already running some on the treadmill at the Y anyway (because I can't get my heart rate up anyother way on that stupid machine).  I may start slowly, but at the rate I'm losing, I'll bet I can catch up unless you guys plan to run an actual 5K right after you finish the training program.  Did that make any sense?

So yeah.  I'm in.  Technically I've been doing the first 2 weeks of it already.  Geesh.

BTW, you start doing that, and I will guarantee that you won't have to hate me anymore.  You will lose more - I promise you that!
