I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter (or at the least a great weekend). Getting out of town for a few days was absolutely wonderful.

I came to the realization that my youngest son (17) is truly an amazing young man. I think I knew this already but hey - he's a typical teenager. I just can't say enough good stuff about him. He even shares my love for Rock & Roll (60's, 70's & 80's)  and made me laugh so hard I almost wrecked when he started belting out with Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody) at the top of his lungs and hitting all of the high notes. Too dang funny.

I took the weekend off from obsessing over this dang stall - I ate what I wanted, when I wanted and do you know what happened? The dang scales say I've lost 2 lbs. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Friday is my official weigh in day so I won't weigh til then. Cross your fingers, eyes, legs & toes - it may just be over. Onderland - here I come baby.

I have to tell you that my friends in the mountains are absolutely wonderful and they are the perfect hosts. The last time I was there - dennis was considering installing an antique wood cook stove in their kitchen. Well he did it. We drank the most amazing coffee all weekend. He'd found the percolator cofee pot that fit down in the burner (not sure what else to call it) and kept a pot going all weekend. Ahhhhhh......pure heaven. He also ground his own wheat and made 2 loaves of wheat bread to go along with dinner Saturday night. Man o-man was it good.

I think I've caught up on everyone's posts and comments. Sounds like the NC forum is still the home of the best & brightest that the web has to offer. Keep up the great work.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I too have a 17 yr old son. He makes me laugh so hard I can't even stay upset with him. You whole paragraph could have been written by me with the music and all. Too funny.

I am so glad you had such a wonderful weekend everyone needs those once and a while!!!! I also understand the pride you have when you teen shows you what a wonderful person they have become you just want to take a deep breath and say "Thank you God maybe something did sink in after all."  I love the times Courtney and I get to share and I am so proud of the sweet loving person she has become.  It makes it all worth it .

Isn't awesome to realize those cute kids we were raising do actually grow up to be great people. I am blessed with great adult children these days. How did that happen?

Sounds like it was a much needed rest.  So funny about your son...gives me hope that I can take mine out without having to threaten the within an inch of their lives!!!  It's been that kind of week.  Anyways, glad you had a good time.  Talk to you soon!
