Hi everyone. Ok this is sort of embarrassing but I gotta know whats going on..lol. I am on my pre-op diet. I ahve to be on the atkins diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery. Well I have been on the diet since thursday. I have to tell you guys, I can be the first to admit that I do poot.lol But OMGoodness, since I started this diet, it is like I poot all the time!! I mean ALL THE TIME!! Can anyone tell me if this is normal or what? I can be sitting on the couch and my husband will hear it and he looks at me and starts laughing..lol.. I guess its cause I always get on him about doing it and now I am pooting like nobody's business..lol Is thre anything I can take for it? Maybe like beano or something? OMGoodness, I am actually sitting here laughing about it..Woot, there I go again...lmbo

Ok well if anyone can help me out with this "sensitive" subject, I would greatly appreciate it. And so would my husband..lmbo

Unfortunately - you aint seen nothing yet. The gas gets much worse after surgery. I try and ignore it and not make a big deal out of it - but OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully I won't be the only one "sounding off" on this subject but it's just a part of the process.

Hi Linda,
Iris is right you havent seen anything yet LOL
I never had this problem till after surgery and I would do the samething you have done to your husband.
Now my husband laughs at me too but also says how happy he is I am comfortable around him to let it go.

I am known to have the "walking farts"!  But I just deal with it......It is a bit embarrasing.  When it happens at work, I either scuff my feet on the floor... hit the filing cabinets.. try something to distract what is happening.  Its tough.. but the final results are sooo worth it!  Good Luck

I can only echo the other's comments....  tell your hubby to get use to it or maybe you can have pooting contests and see who can let out the loudest one!

Being the only female in the house (not counting the dog), I am used to nonstop noises coming from them.  Thing is, I have always been one to have plenty of my own, but they would act likemine were such a big deal because I wasn't one to have them as often or as loud as the 3 of them.  I haven't had any complaints this past week about the amount of gas since they knew I had to get it out after surgery to not be in pain.  The only complaint I had was smell one time before I began taking the colace and getting rid of things.  I know that soon I will be eating some solids and expect more gas will come at that time.  Let's see how long before they all begin going "mooooommmmmm!!!!!"

Thanks for all the replies everyone..lol I have already warned my husband about the gas after I have the surgery. I told him that he can laugh if he wants but not to make me laugh because I might be in pain if I laugh too much.   I know he understands and everything. He just likes to play a lot even though to other people he seems to be so serious. My youngest son is the same way.

Ok well thanks everyone again and I really appreciate all the answers you all give when I ask the most craziest questions..lol

Working in a doggie daycare helps me in this area. I can toot all I want at work and any humans just think a dog did it. But at home thankfully my family is a bunch of humorists and it all just gets laughed off. I am not the only tooter in the house so its all good.
