A couple of wows in one!

After our get together today, I decided that I would go try to find a couple of new summery shirts.  The first wow was that I shopped on the regular side of the store.  I bought a couple of shirts that were XL - not 1X!  That's the first.  Then I was trying on some shirts and one was a little big so I decided to try on the L just for kicks.  IT FIT!!!  I was floored!  It wasn't my favorite but you know I had to buy it.  When I went to my parents' to pick up my girls I had to take it in a show my mom and dad.  My mom was really excited with me.  My dad didn't get it but that's ok. 

Dad's are the most clueless aren't they? But I bet he was happy you were so happy even if he didn't say it right. You still have a lot of new wows coming your way. Keep enjoying them and sharing them with us and your Dad and Mom.

Thanks, I will.  My dad is happy.  He is the one who will be the first to go with me to my appoinments, so in his way I guess he shows his happiness in my accomplishments.

It was great to actually 'meet' you today. On our way home Ben commented on how very pretty you are. He said you remind him a great deal of me... I think that is supposed to be compliment... LOL :-)  You are doing a great job and I'm sure I'll be seeing much less of you at the next get together.

I'm glad that you were able to find a couple a summery shirts, but I'll bet you won't be able to wear them very far into the summer. Enjoy them while you can.

I know I probably won't be able to wear them very long but couldn't resist.  I'm going to have to make the time to go thrifting.

I did drop by the thrift store, "My Sister's Closet."  It was very well organized.  I did see a few things that would probably fit me, but they weren't my cup of tea.  The three tops I saw in my size that I liked had stains on them.  That was a big disappointment.  I was a bit surprised to see that hanging on the rack.  The consignment store I recently took a few things to in New Bern said they do not accept anything stained and everything has to be in like-new shape.

You too!  It was great meeting you.  My mom actually told me when I dropped off my girls that I should be pounding the pavement instead.  I told her that this was just as important.  I'm so glad I went!
