I'm back, finally

My husband and boys took over the computers from the time I went to the hospital until now.  I actually had to beg for enough time on one to pay the bills at the beginning of the month LOL.  They seemed to all have the idea that Mom shouldn't be sitting at the computer after surgery, but rather sitting on the couch bored to death.

I am doing good after my surgery.  Thanks Vera for being my angel!  I get my drainage tube taken out tomorrow, and looking forward to it!!!!!  I have been doing my walking, even going shopping 4 of the days hehe.

My only worry right now is that I am afraid I am getting dehydrated.  I am suddenly unsure of what all I am to count for my 64 ounces of fluids right now, plus the fact that I am spending more time in the bathroom than I would hope for and am afraid I am losing as much as I am taking in.

I begin pureed/blended things on Thursday.  Anyone have some tasty ideas, preferably with good protein counts?

WOOOOHOOOOOO So glad to see you back! Congrats on a successful sleeve! You certainly are doing great to have gone shopping. I was 2 weeks out before I felt like even going to the Walmart.
GREAT JOB!!!

I had a hard time getting in all my liquids for the first 10 days or so. I just sipped as much water as possible. Watch your urine. If it gets to be a dark yellow, you are dehydrated and that can land you back in the hospital. Don't worry so much about the protein. Staying hydrated now is more important. Any clear liquid counts as your count. SF Crystal Light etc. I just mostly drank water.

Take a water bottle with your everywhere you go and contantly sip.

When I went on pureed, I ate soft scrambled eggs, LF cottage cheese, unsweetened applesauce, yogurt, SF puddings, soups,  stuff like that. I didn't even try pureed chicken or any meat. I didn't think I could handle that lol .  I could only eat about 2 little bits of anything. So I was still getting my protein from my shakes and isopure. Sometimes I would drink a protein shot at lunch to get in 26g.

I  went for my 4 week check up today and I start on soft foods for 1 week then start introducing
new solid foods one per day to see how I tolerate them.  BUT I CAN FINALLY HAVE SOME NO SUGAR ADDED ICE CREAM WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Good luck girl and keep us posted!!!
