Spring has sprung!.....

Well it's finally Spring and actually feels like it too...  It's such a nice day here in the Jacksonville area, the sun is out, there's a breeze and it's in the mid 70's today.  I'm a happy girl!!!!!!!  Rex and I planted some rose bushes, hydrangea bushes, fresea (sp?) flowers, tulips and finally finally some vegetables.... yes, we sure did!  LOL!  We planted some brocolli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts so far.  We'll do the beans, peppers, squashes, jalepenos, tomatoes, chives and probably a couple other things in a couple weeks.  I'm so excited to get out and get my hands dirty.  Oh, and I mowed the lawn today too... lots of outside time.  Next we get to clean the chicken coops... anyone wanna come play???  I have extra rakes, and you can use the poop for ferterlizer... any takers???  huh???  come on.... lol!  It is a chore, but I don't like stinky chicken coops. 

Ok, I'm done being silly.... Have a great Spring and get out and get dirty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Send some of that sunny weather up my way!   It's 34 degrees and snowing here in Northern Indiana.  It's not sticking but still!

I'll try... but it has gotten very windy here now... I'll send that too.  I hope it warms up for ya sooon!!!  I hate the cold weather!

I was a beautiful day and I'm so glad to have been able to cut the heat off!  I planted a knockout rose bush yesterday and put some miracle grow out on some of my other plants.... Thank you Lord that Spring is here!  It's time to start dragging out the spring/summer clothes and see if they still fit or do we need to GO SHOPPING??????

Yep Alice, we cut the heater off the other day and actually had the air conditioner on for a little bit yesterday (it was in the 80's).  I took just got done going through my spring/summer clothes from last year, I know they still fit, I haven't lost any since then - but then again, I haven't gained any either so I'm happy!!!!!  I still think I need to go shopping.  Getting ready to put my God-Daughter's Easter basket together so I can mail it tomorrow (she lives in San Diego - insert sad face here).  I love love love this time of year!!!!  Cooler, my pup, isn't too sure about the wind though.  lol!

I'm so jealous!!!  It was only in the low 40's here in the mountains of VA today and we had a few snow flakes fall earlier but thank goodness they didn't stick around!!  I am so sick of winter and can't wait for warmer weather.  Please send some my way!!  LOL!!   Glad you enjoyed your day and you can keep your stinky chicken poop!!

I could have lived without the wind getting so bad today (made me wonder if I was back in Chicago!), but I sure enjoyed walking in the sun, planting some more flowers, and sitting on the swing with my dog today.  I hope tomorrow is nice, too.  I still have some veggies to plant and a tomato and cucumber plant to transplant.

Yeah it did get windy.  I was worried about our plants but they did fine.  Today is actually a nicer day here than it was yesterday.  I'm going out to hang out the laundry, then rake up some pine needles down by the pond.  Lots to do!

OMG - I so enjoyed the sunshine this weekend but after reading this I felt like a sloth. David had the kids this weekend so we accomplished nothing - just played...and played...and played. It was wonderful. Just way to short.
