Thinking about 14's

16  is pretty cool for me because I dont ever remember wearing a 16 LOL so yesterday I had some 18's on that someone gave me and yes I could tell how big they were.
So I am thinking about the next size OMG I know this sounds werd but it is sorta freaking me out.
I guess after many many years of being super morbidly obese this is like a whole new world for me almost like a surreal place.

Have to work today and tomorrow.
Today I am working for the demo company giving out coupons FUN FUN NOT Tomorrow I am scheduled to work 8 hours at FL a little scarry but I know I can do it.
I got my first paycheck from FL yesterday only for one day but it made me feel good.

Fast forward to the past week.
My mom is not doing too well  I took her to the pool on Tuesday and she was a lot of pain.
I went with her to the doctor on Wednesday and finally we have a diagnoses of what is going on with her.
She has polyneropathy.
I asked the doctor to refere mother to the pain clinic at UNC which she did.
One of mother's nurses told me that mother told them she cant go on like she is much longer.
It is hard to see her having to be lifted in a sling lift to be put in bed,put on the toilet ect..
Mothers maid told me that eventually mother will be confined to bed.
I am very aware of this and I am trying to stay calm but it is tearring me up inside.
For once in my life I am unable to turn to food for comfort so I find working out helps me with the stress.

I hear you about freaking out over the next size, Annie.  I still find myself looking at 22/24's on the racks because THAT seems small to me!  lol  It's such a mind-bender to look at 18's...to see that "1" at the front of the number.  It happens so quickly, ya know?!   A size 14...holy cow, woman!  Pinch, pinch!  I can't imagine!

Hope work goes well for you today and tomorrow.  It has to feel so good getting that paycheck with your name on it.  I am a coupon diva so I'd be all over your display today!  lol

Do they know what is causing your mom's polyneuropathy (diabetes, thyroid, etc.?).  I hope they can get her on a pain management plan that will help her.

Hey Lady, it's high time you posted pics so we can SEE you sportin those 16s!!!  I am SO happy for you and it's good that you are doubling your benefits from your workouts with stress relief as well as burning calories.  If only I could follow your lead...

My Mom gave me 2 outfits for my birthday - both size 16's and I kid you the pair that I'm wearing today will go into my "ungrown" pile after they come out of the laundry - they're droopy in the butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my RNY - droopy drawers and all.

You are doing a lot to help your Mom but you can only do so much and the rest is in her court. Try not to worry so much because this is one of those things that truly is not in your control. Just keep thinking the serenity prayer and do what you really can do. For your sake try to recognize what you really can't do and respect that it isn't within your possibility to fix. We all want to fix whatever is wrong for anyone we care about but we can't always actually do it. That doesn't mean we are failing, it just means that we are only human.
