Vitamins..
Hey yall...How are yall doing? Ok so im new to this message board and i have a very important question..I start my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow, and i was wondering if anyone took multi-vitamins while they were on the liquid diet, and if they did was it a bariatric chewable multivitamin or just one over the counter such as One a Day for Women??? If someone could help me out i'd be very much greatful!!

I didn't have to do a two week fast, but I did start taking my citrical and centrum silver (I can't take iron).
Check with your surgeon's office, but I'm sure that they'll be happy to have you do all that you can to be as healthy as possible when you have your surgery and begin this journey.

I was on a 2 week liquid diet also. Lost 15 lbs!! WOOHOOOO
I had to take 2 chewable Caltrate 600-D calcium supplements a day and 1 chewable Centrum Silver (cause I'm old lol) a day. Make sure the calcium says 'caltrate'. I get mine at CVS. Fruit flavor.
It's actually nice to have something to chew every day even it it is only a vitamin!

Hey Pam!! Thank you i will keep that in mind!! Ill have to pick me up some Caltrate 600-D on tuesday. How hard was the 2 week liquid diet for you, im kinda nervous about it, where you hungry ALL the time??? I just drank my first optifast drink..the strawberry one..tastes like a strawberry slimfast shake, not too bad. But i know when i was on the slim fast diet i would be hungry within 2 hours of drinking it..and ive planned these drinks out to be every 4 hours so i can get all 5 of them in a day. Thank you so much for responding, im so excited only 2 weeks to go and ill be on the loosers bench with you!!! MOVE ON OVER PAM CAUSE HERE I COME!!! hehe

No it was not hard for me at all and went by quickly. I was very focused and wanted to lose as much weight as possible during these 2 weeks. As soon as you finish your shake, immediately start drinking clear liquids. I kept myself filled up on liquids so that I did not get hungry. Of course, being a food addict, i WANTED to eat everything in site even though I was not hungry. At the end of the 2 weeks, I would think to myself, just one little bite of ice cream couldn't possibly hurt anything, but then I would smack myself and say NO!!! that's why you need WLS !!
I had already started this journey and I'm WAS NOT going to cheat in the first 2 weeks!! So I would just find something else to do to get my mind off of it. I drank water, flavored water, ate sf jello when I had to have something, sf popsicles were wonderful! When I needed something warm and flavorful, I would go get some wonton soup and just sip the broth. YUM. Or I would heat a can of low fat cream of chicken soup and then strain it 3 or 4 times and add milk.
Just focus every day on why you are doing this and how proud of yourself you will be when you finish the 2 weeks. You can do it!!!!! I'm proud of you already sweetie!
