My daughter had her baby Monday night.  He's 6 lbs and 20 1/2" long.

His dad is stationed in Afghanistan and got to see the entire birth via webcam link.  It was almost like he was there.  It's the first from Afghanistan.  WCTI 12 did an interview with her for the local news in Eastern NC and it may be on again tonight.  I"m such a proud Granny

Congratulations on your new grand baby! I will check the news. I hope your daughter and the baby do well and God bless the soldier dad also. Jackie
It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

I saw that on the news this morning!!  That is a wonderful thing.

I can't imagine having to give birth without my DH there 'in person', but how spectacular that he could be there via technology!  I'll bet he can't wait to actually hold that sweet baby boy!

Congratulations to the entire family.
